Where and how securely does PassKub store my passwords?

Every password and PIN is encrypted on your own device first using Argon2id key derivation and AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption before it ever touches storage — PassKub and its servers only ever see ciphertext, never your plaintext passwords.

How does Quick Fill send a password to another device securely?

Quick Fill relays an end-to-end encrypted, short-lived, one-time request between your devices (by code or QR) so a credential can be filled on a new device without ever creating a cloud account or exposing the vault.

Q: What happens if I forget my keypass?

PassKub never sees your keypass (master password) or an unencrypted vault, so there is no server-side password reset for the vault itself — keep your keypass safe. Recovery options such as biometric unlock or an encrypted backup can be configured in the app before you need them.

Good to know

Do I need an account to use PassKub?

No. The Free tier works fully offline with no sign-in. An account is only created when you choose to enable Premium cloud sync.

Can PassKub read my passwords?

No. Your keypass (master password) never leaves your device, and vault data is always encrypted with a key only you hold — including when Premium sync stores ciphertext on our servers.

What happens if I forget my keypass?

Because we never see your keypass or an unencrypted vault, there is no "forgot password" recovery for the vault itself — keep your keypass safe.

Which platforms are supported?

Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Chrome/Edge (with Firefox and Safari extension support). The same encrypted vault format works everywhere.

Can I cancel Premium anytime?

Yes. Premium subscriptions are billed by the store you subscribed through (Stripe, Apple App Store, or Google Play) and can be cancelled at any time from that platform.
